55 Merc

About 5 years ago I worked on this car.
Hand made both rockers and lower quarters. .
Hooked up the lakes..
Shaved and lowered the thang..
Stoked to see it still on the road and showing!
pic stolen from the HAMB @ Sacto Autorama 2010

Finally...

..got that shoebox in. Has a 53 Merc motor that is now for sale..

memories...

Noticed this car on a BB i was reading.. noticed it was in Dallas..
then realized i shaved the door handles, helped bag the rear, and even sprayed some of the flake on the roof almost 5 years ago.

Its a shame...

..that panels made in Akron Ohio are just as bad as ones made in Taiwan.

whistle while you twerk.

rocker had fiberglass mesh with bondo over it.
as you can see the inner was wasted as well.

Survivor 56

This Chevy was unearthed from the barn gods of Rio Linda 4 years ago..
Story goes it ran the Sac streets in the 60s with a 409...

..then sold to a resident of tweekton who got parinoid of the power to cop ratio.
Today it runs a mildly wild SBC and is looking to get a straight axle after all these years.
